Meet the Pastor

Rev. Tim Constien

Pastor Tim has been in the ministry since 2004 having served Clem UMC, Bright Star UMC, and Lowell UMC before coming to Dog River Methodist Church. Prior to 2018, he was a bi-vocational pastor while working in the Information Technology field for a telecommunications and a software company. He retired at the end of 2017 after serving 40 years in the data processing field. Pastor Tim and his wife, Dale, have three daughters, Bethany, Whitney, and Alesa; son-in-laws, Jeff and Matthew and two grandchildren, Nora Kate and Frankie Mae. In his spare time, Pastor Tim loves to spend time admiring God's handiwork in nature, especially in the mountains, has a passion for music, likes photography, traveling to different places, and spending time with his immediate family and his church family.

The North Georgia Conference of the GMC exists to create an effective structure to serve the churches, laity, and clergy of North Georgia. We join God in a journey of bringing new life, reconciliation, and the presence of Christ to the communities and people of North Georgia, helping each person reflect the character of Christ. Our heart is to see a spirit of revival move across North Georgia — transforming our region — overflowing to the world.
